With the goal of sustainable development in human food and health, smart agriculture has become the future direction for global agricultural industrialization. To strengthen academic exchanges and technical discussions both domestically and internationally, and to promote a deep integration and cross-sector collaboration between industry, academia, and government research, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition (GILE) once again partners with the China Agricultural Mechanization Association and China Agricultural University to co-host the "2024 International Forum on Biophotonics and Smart Agriculture" from June 9th to 11th at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Area A, Hall 5.2, Booth A37.
The conference specially invites renowned scholars and peers from both within the country and abroad to discuss the application and cases of photonics and AI technology in fields such as biophotonics and plant factories, facility horticulture and livestock engineering, intelligent agricultural machinery and unmanned farms, and smart agriculture system solutions. The forum focuses on the application of LED biophotonics and pays more attention to the application of AI technology in the agricultural field, providing a platform and channels for interaction for cross-sector integration and the future development of agriculture, actively expanding the trillion-level emerging market of smart agriculture.

Hortibest Inc is excited to participate in the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition. Here, field experts gather together to share pioneering research and insights and explore the latest developments and innovations in the optical field with friends from around the world!

Many growers mistake dimming for "light recipe" control. In 2026, true control means independent spectrum management. Using the Hortibest OG8 Tri-channel led grow light as a case study, we explore how separating Blue(450nm) ,Deep Red  (660nm) and White+FR (380-730nm) Full Spectrum channels directly impacts yield, terpene profiles, and plant morphology.

Basil is an essential crop for the food service industry and essential oil production. While its market price remains stable, it has a high barrier to entry—it is extremely demanding in terms of light spectrum and intensity. If even one step is mishandled, it can quickly turn from a “high-profit crop” into a “money-losing venture.”

Commercial greenhouse growers are gearing up for one of the most demanding production cycles of the year. For those cultivating high-value flowering crops, achieving consistent quality and maximizing yield requires more than just standard overhead lighting. The key lies in strategic inter-lighting—placing light sources directly within the plant canopy to reach the lower branches that overhead lights often miss.
